go-incident-metadata-persist
The solution is written to ~/solution/go-incident-metadata-persist.md.
Important context: I could not access the actual dexdat/Helios repository. The local directory is empty and the clone failed with an authentication error (could not read Username... No such device), so there were no source files to read and I could not diff the real SQL. The deliverable is therefore a self-contained, directly usable fix specification built from the detailed problem statement, rather than a patch verified against the actual source tree.
Despite that constraint, the document is complete and actionable:
metadata, read paths never load it.metadata=$N in UPDATE SET, metadata in RETURNING, a single shared mapRowToIncident used by GetByID/GetByRef/List/Search/Update, and the FOLLOWUP DOGFOOD-028 create-path (Create/CreateWithTx) INSERT fix.TestIncidentRepository_Update_MetadataPersists proving write+reload round-trip, an API-level manual check, and a test run checklist. To produce a genuinely verified patch against real code, clone access (credentials) or a local checkout of github.com/dexdat/Helios at commit 378d575 is required. If you can provide the file content or grant repo access, I'll confirm/replace the snippets with exact line-level edits.
